AMAZING! A must-visit for authentic soul food if you're in Charleston. We had the ribs, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Every single thing we had was sublime - and you can't beat the prices. There are a few tables to eat there but it seems that most of the business is takeaway.

Had takeout orders of the fish (sides okra soup, collars), and came back the next day for the shrimp (sides corn, mac & cheese). Impressively flavorful entrees, my only criticism would be the okra soup seemed very salty, and the inside looks run-down.

After reading the reviews for this place, we just knew we had to check it out. Despite the atmosphere, don't let it fool you. This food was phenomenal. And I love me some good old home cooking. We will definitely be back. The collards were incredible and the ribs were so tender.
